Girls just want to have fun!
Girls from Years 5 and 6 at Ipswich Prep School enjoyed a fun evening of food and activities on Friday (10 January 2014), having a go at line dancing, word games, craft activities, facepainting and creating their own supper.
Amanda Childs, Head of Ipswich Prep, said: “We wanted to give our older girls an opportunity to get together as a big group outside the normal school day. The Girls’ Night was a great deal of fun for everyone involved, including all the staff who helped out, and it was a good to see so many big smiles on everyone’s faces.”
Annika Wieckowska, Deputy Head, who organised the event, said: “The girls enjoyed the evening, particularly the line dancing and the chance to sprinkle a selection of sweets on their icecream pudding!”
Comments from pupils included: “Amazing! My favourite part was where we danced and where we were cowgirls.” “I thought the girls’ evening was really fun and I liked the different activity stations we did.” “The beauty salon and the dance contest were great, but the best was the ‘make your own’ ice cream bar – we could have seconds!” "I made a ladybird on an island out of Playdough with my friends - it was amazing!"
A similar night for boys in Years 5 and 6 will be held later in the year.
