On 21 June, the Year 9 art students spent the day visiting The Making of Harry Potter at the Warner Brother’s Studios. Despite a national train strike the coaches made it in super quick time, much to our relief!
It was such an exciting day out as we got to see so many of the spectacular sets, props, costumes and prosthetics that were made by a team of over 4000 artists. Just putting the eyebrow hairs into a prosthetic goblin mask for Gringott’s Bank takes one artist a whole day! The attention to detail and the creativity and care were just mind blowing. It was all
finished off with a glass of butterbeer and a visit to the shop to buy wands and magical sweets.
A great and memorable trip for us all.
