Ipswich School’s best artists will be participating in a prestigious art exhibition later this month, as part of the ArtEast 2023 exhibition that showcases local artists. We are delighted that Ipswich School is just one of four schools chosen to be part of this exhibition, alongside the professional artists.
We have representatives spanning from Years 5 to 13, whose work was chosen by the team here and at the Prep. Mr Parkin, Director of Art, said “I am very excited! It is always great to see student work on display and it is an opportunity for our students to be in a public exhibition and also for people from other schools to see the amazing work that our students did.”
The exhibition is happening at Framsden Hall Barn and it can be viewed between the Sunday 17 and Monday 18 September from 10am to 5pm, and there will be a prize giving for the students at 3pm on Sunday. The prize for the lucky winners is a two hour evening’s art class or painting demonstration at London Fine Art Studios in Battersea. There will also be a runners up prize of a charcoal drawing kit.
The artwork spans a vast range of mediums spanning from painting to fashion and sculpture to ceramics.
