Eco Team’s recycling reminder

Ipswich School’s Eco Team is entering a very prestigious competition being organised by Suffolk County Council to spread information about saving the environment. The Love Nature competition is part of the council’s Green Schools initiative, with schools challenged to create a large artwork in groups to celebrate nature and encourage biodiversity.

The art which has been produced by schools will be on display at the Suffolk Recycling stand at the Suffolk Show in half term. The Eco Team’s entry includes a colourful rainbow and sunflowers, with visitors being able to find out more about waste and recycling by scanning the codes on the art that happens to be made from one hundred percent recycled materials.

If you would like to see the Ipswich School art in person, then go along and experience the vibrancy of the Suffolk Show at Trinity Park, just outside Ipswich on Weds 29 and Thurs 30 May. Don’t miss the Normandy80 display, captivating Rabbit Show, and majestic Heavy Horse Centre. Plus, catch sight of a colossal roaming robot – a yearly spectacle not to be missed.

Arlo S, Year 10, shared his anticipation with the Occasional: ‘I’m very excited to see if we win.”

Well done, Eco Team.
