Ipswich School celebrates excellent achievements with A Level students

Ipswich School’s Headmaster, Nicholas Weaver, said how proud he was of this year’s A Level students , as the results were announced this morning (Thursday 18 August). He said:

“I am delighted that our students have achieved such excellent results, with over a third of all pupils getting at least 3 A grades, and 8 pupils getting all A* grades. Throughout their studies we have been so impressed by their passion for their subjects – and this has resulted in them securing places at the top universities in the UK. We have our biggest ever A Level cohort this year of 126 students – well done to them all!”

He added:

“Throughout the school we aim to nurture a joy of learning in our students. We know that  if you get this right then your performance in the exam room follows. It is also pleasing to see that all of our Extended Project Qualification students achieved either an A* or A grade in this subject  which challenges them to explore their studies beyond their  A Level learning.”

Ben Cliff, Head of Sixth Form said:  “This is a busy school where students enjoy a stimulating academic programme alongside outstanding co-curricular opportunities. Our students’ interests outside of the core curriculum see them develop into interesting and engaging young adults.

“I love working with a group of people who genuinely enjoy their unique learning journeys, but  who also care about each other and the legacy they leave for younger years.  I am delighted that their rich and varied achievements have been recognised by the higher education institutions.”
