Ipswich School in Sunday Times Parent Power list
Ipswich School is delighted to be named in this year’s Sunday Times Parent Power survey as one of the top 200 independent schools in the country, and one of the top ten in East Anglia.
The survey, which ranks schools by their top A Level and GCSE exam grades, was published this weekend (Sunday 26 November 2017). It showed that Ipswich School had climbed from 176th in the 2016 independent schools list to 166th in the country this year, and was at number seven in the East Anglian independent schools' top ten.
Nicholas Weaver, Headmaster of Ipswich School, said: “I am delighted to see Ipswich School is noted as one of the top ten independent schools in the region and in the top 200 schools nationally for the second year running. We are passionate about learning, and the results in this table are testament to the hours of hard work put in by students and staff."
He added: “We encourage all our pupils to make the most of the choices available to them as part of an all-round Ipswich School education, both inside the classroom and in our co-curricular activities. Along with our exemplary approach to pastoral care, it is this approach to learning which helps us to be so successful.”
Ipswich School is holding entrance examinations in January for pupils who are interested in joining the school in September 2018. Full details are available on the school’s website: www.ipswich.school/entranceexams. A range of scholarships and bursaries are available to assist families.
