Ipswich School is runner up in prestigious national awards

We are delighted to have been named as Highly Commended, just behind the winners, Nottingham High School, in the category of Co-Ed Independent School of the Year 2022.

The school was shortlisted in six categories in the Independent School of the Year awards, which recognise the best in independent education. The Highly Commended result was announced on Tuesday 11 October at an awards event in London – and Ipswich School was the only school in the region to achieve an award commendation at the ceremony.

This comes after the school was awarded Best Sixth Form by Muddy Stilettos earlier this year, and also achieved an AMCIS Impact Award.

Headmaster Nicholas Weaver said: “We are delighted to have been recognised in these prestigious national awards, and to be Highly Commended in this all-round category is testament to the quality of education across the whole school, both in the classroom and in our co-curricular activities. I would like to pay tribute to all the staff and students for their hard work which made this award possible.”
