Ipswich School named in Sunday Times list

Ipswich School was delighted to be named in this year’s Sunday Times Parent Power survey as one of the top 250 independent schools in the country – and the only one in Suffolk to be mentioned.

The survey, which ranks schools by their A Level grades at A*-B and GCSE grades at A*/A, was published this weekend (Sunday 27 November 2016).

Nicholas Weaver, Headmaster of Ipswich School, said: “I am delighted to see the success of Ipswich School marked in this way, as our pupils and teachers put much effort and hard work into our achievements.  We are passionate about learning, and about supporting girls and boys to discover their talents and shape their futures.

He added: “An Ipswich School education is more than just exam results and we encourage all our pupils to make the most of high quality activities including sport, music and drama. We pride ourselves on having a caring school community with an exemplary approach to pastoral care, and it is this approach to learning which helps us to be so successful.”

Ipswich School is holding entrance examinations in January for pupils who are interested in joining the school in September 2017.  Full details are available on the school’s website: www.ipswich.school/entranceexams.  A range of scholarships and bursaries are available to assist families.
