Ipswich School’s musical ensembles were out in force on Sunday evening, performing to an appreciative crowd on the school field for the Midsummer Soiree.
A number of the ensemble pieces had a summer theme, including Vivaldi’s Summer, part of his Four Seasons, and performed by the Chamber Orchestra, Gershwin’s Summer Time performed by the Senior Brass Ensemble and by the Chapel Choir – and Here Comes The Sun by George Harrison, performed by the Concert Orchestra. The concert ended with some Harry Styles – Late Night Talking performed by the Big Band.
Well done to all the ensembles and soloists, and to all the staff from the Britten Faculty of Music.
