It is National Offer Day today, Friday 1 March 2019, where parents will find out if their child got a place at the secondary school of their choice. A very exciting time but also nerve-wracking for parents who are trying to set their children on such an important path in this stage in their lives.
If your first choice application was rejected then there are still options open to people. You may wish to appeal the decision or perhaps apply for a different school; one of the other options available to you is Ipswich School, as it is not too late to consider a place at an independent school.
Ipswich School is a happy, supportive school, which was ranked as the number one independent school in Suffolk for the third consecutive year in the Sunday Times Parent Power survey. With strong pastoral care and small class sizes, we encourage every child to reach their potential. We have excellent GCSE and A Level exam results and a wide ranging confidence-building co-curricular programme throughout the school. There are many bus routes available, with pupils coming from Suffolk and north Essex.
Our Spring Open Event is taking place on Thursday 25 April 2019 which provides a fantastic opportunity to see what a typical school day is like. The Senior School and Sixth Form will be open at 9.30am for a school tour. Lessons will be happening as usual and you will have a chance to watch teachers in action and speak to pupils, as well as hear the Headmaster, Nicholas Weaver, speak about what makes Ipswich School the school of choice. Visit www.ipswich.school/openday to book a place.
If you are interested in your child joining us in September 2019 and would like some more information please contact the Admissions Office on 01473 408300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
