Netball Tour to Condover Hall, Shropshire

With the sun shining and spirits high, 28 pupils and four staff set off for a netball weekend in Condover Hall, Shropshire on Friday 25 March.

Arrival and check in complete, exploration of the fantastic grounds took place before dinner and some evening activities. Saturday morning saw the U14 team and U15 team (with some of our U14s stepping up) take to the courts against a variety of schools and clubs from around the country in their pool group matches.

The U14s finished the morning qualifying second in their group for the finals on Sunday whilst the U15 team finished unbeaten with 3 wins and 2 draws against some quality sides!

Abseiling, archery, sunbathing and ice creams were in the plans for the afternoon before a silent disco at night.

The seniors (with some U15s stepping up) had their activities in the morning before their matches in the afternoon. They ended the day 4th out of all the teams, with all to play for the following day. Sunday morning was an early start and after breakfast, all teams were in action, playing some beautiful netball and really showing individual skill and team performance. The seniors finished fourth in their competition, whilst the U14s were so unlucky to miss out on finals on goal difference and finished third.

Our U15s were undefeated all weekend, but due to the two draws on the first day of games, they finished as runner up in their competition. They collected their medals and trophy before we headed back to school.

The weather and spirits stayed high all weekend! Miss Carns, Mrs Hudson, Miss Heyworth and Miss Porter would like to thank all the girls who attended the weekend, played their socks off and had such fun with us on our Netball trip. You are all fantastic 🙂

Miss Carns, Head of Netball
