New member for Development Committee

We’d like to welcome Emma Dell to the Development Committee as our newest member. Emma is a parent of two children at Ipswich Prep; originally from Suffolk, she was even born in the old private hospital on Anglesea Road! Her career in marketing, public relations and relationship management will be most beneficial to the Development Committee, which was established in 2005 to create an environment where people support the school’s development and share in its success.

Emma said: “I am delighted to join the committee as I want to support the school and wish for my children to benefit from the new Music School and the improved sports facilities. They are already benefiting from previous benefaction at the school and I feel we need to leave a lasting legacy for their generation. It’s vital to keep the fees as low as possible, so we need to look at creative, fun ways that the parent body can help.”

Henry Staunton, governor and chairman of the Development Committee added: “It’s good news all-round – the Governing Body give the go-ahead for building work to start on the new Music School in 2014, planning approval is granted for two new astroturf hockey pitches and six tennis and netball courts at the Rushmere Sports Centre, the OI 125th Anniversary Appeal goes from strength to strength and Emma joins the Development Committee. I am thrilled that Emma brings her experience to help us grow support for music, sport and bursaries from our parents”.
