Relocation campaign wins national award

Ipswich Prep School recently won an AMCIS IMPACT Award. The IMPACT Awards celebrate the work of admissions, communications and marketing teams in independent schools and reward campaigns that have made a significant impact on their schools and communities.

There were six categories and Ipswich Prep won the Small Budget category for the campaign Hidden Gem – putting Ipswich Prep School on the relocation map. The judges said “Ipswich School Prep spent just over £300 on a campaign which delivered a substantial increase in new pupils.” Due to the pandemic, many families were moving out of London.

The Ipswich School marketing team therefore put together a social media campaign to convince families to move
to Ipswich and Suffolk. They did this by asking members of staff to contribute photos of different aspects of Suffolk that they loved, with straplines and images to inspire people to move here.

Mrs Jordan, Director of Admissions, Marketing and Outreach, said “It was a huge success and the Facebook campaign generated loads of activity. It also showed that a small budget campaign can do really great things.”

Thanks to everyone who helped us showcase our wonderful town and county.
