School Council trip to Parliament

Last week, all children who have represented their class in our School Council had the opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament for a tour and an educational workshop. We travelled by minibus and tube to reach Westminster where we were greeted by amazing tour guides to show us around. We walked through the impressive Westminster Hall (where Queen Elizabeth lay in state) and then, to our amazement we actually got to see both the House of Lords and the House of Commons in session. Our day ended with a brilliant workshop where we debated about banning smoking. Then, Tom Hunt, the Conservative MP for Ipswich, came to meet us all for a Q&A session. We had the most amazing day and are very excited to be sharing our adventures with the rest of the Prep school after half term.
