School library wins national display competition

Ipswich School’s Library has won the ʻNuff Saidʼ Award for the best Excelsior Award display. The Excelsior Award is the leading award in the UK for graphic novels and manga.

There is a shortlist of five books that students across the country, including Ipswich School, will read and rate. The highest rated book will win the award, which is set to be announced in June 2024. So far, 43 graphic novels have been read and rated for this award at our school. Well done to the four students who have completed the task for all five books in the shortlist. And of course, well done to the library staff for their inspiring display which was rated the number one in the country.

Mrs Kember had the idea of bringing our display to life by using props that featured in the books. These were borrowed from various members of staff – a real team effort!
