U15A cricket girls are regional winners

Last Wednesday, the U15 Girls’ Indoor Cricket Team travelled to the University of Cambridge Sports Centre to compete in the Regional Finals round of the ECB Lady Taverners Competition.

Ipswich put in three good performances in the group stages against Priory, Shenfield and Bedford Girls to progress through to the final versus The Perse. The match was closely fought with Ipswich achieving an excellent victory with a few balls to spare. The energy, fight and positivity displayed from the team was outstanding throughout and every player should be immensely proud of their individual highlights and collective performances.

The team now progresses on to the National Finals at Lord’s Cricket Ground in a few weeks time. A momentous achievement. Very well done to all!
