Wonderful response to rucksack collection

Ipswich School’s charity support this term focuses on the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.

During half-term we appealed to our Ipswich School families to pack a rucksack filled with essential items for refugees in support of the Afghan Crisis Appeal.

Nearly 200 bags and rucksacks were donated, filled with essential clothing and supplies.

Mrs Jordan, Director of Outreach said: “We are all thrilled with the generosity and organisation of our Ipswich School community. To donate nearly 200 rucksacks packed with much needed clothing and supplies for those arriving from Afghanistan is an amazing achievement. I’ve been so impressed by how readily our pupils, parents and staff got involved.”

We were delighted to make the drop to our Care4Calais location last week where they will be transported on – to where they are needed the most.
