Meet the Team


Heather Bush, Development Director


Heather joined Ipswich School in June 2016 as Development Director. She has worked in fundraising for over 15 years, firstly at the Royal British Legion raising funds for the Poppy Appeal and then at the Museum of London working on a variety of projects, including a £20m refurbishment of the Museum’s lower galleries. Heather is responsible for leading on and developing philanthropic support and corporate sponsorship for the School, and has extensive experience of raising funds from trusts, foundations and lottery funds.




Nikki Brown, Development Manager


Nikki recently joined the team in March 2018 from St Elizabeth Hospice where she worked as Youth Fundraising Manager with particular involvement in the Learning Herd of Elmer's Big Parade Suffolk. She also was responsible for securing philanthropic income to support hospice care from businesses and individuals. Prior to that, Nikki worked as a fundraiser for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices where she was instrumental in developing income, support and awareness in West Suffolk. Nikki's remit covers all aspects of giving, with particular emphasis on the new campaign for more bursary support at the school and legacy giving. 



James Fletcher, Development Officer


Before working at Ipswich School, James spent many years working in the PR, Marketing and Media industry, most recently as a Company Director of a photographic business. He brings to the role a varied experience that includes communications, corporate affairs, and efficient working in a commercial environment. James is the main point of liaison and support for Old Ipswichians, and also provides assistance to the Friends of Ipswich School. He is responsible for organising and supporting a full and varied schedule of OI, Friends and Development events, and runs the office’s administrative functions with enthusiasm and energy.
