Heather Bush, Development Director
joined Ipswich School in June 2016 as Development Director. She has worked in
fundraising for over 15 years, firstly at the Royal British Legion raising
funds for the Poppy Appeal and then at the Museum of London working on a variety
of projects, including a £20m refurbishment of the Museum’s lower galleries.
Heather is responsible for leading on and developing philanthropic support and
corporate sponsorship for the School, and has extensive experience of raising
funds from trusts, foundations and lottery funds.
Vanessa Bell, Development Manager
joined the team in January 2017 from the University of East Anglia where she
worked as a Development Manager securing philanthropic income to support
various projects throughout the University. Prior to that, Vanessa worked as a
fundraiser for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices where she was instrumental
in developing the partnership with Ed Sheeran. Vanessa’s remit covers all
aspects of giving, with particular responsibility for legacies.
Vicki Gordon, Development Officer
has been a part of the Development team since January 2015. Before working at
Ipswich School, Vicki held a number of interesting roles including working as a
dental nurse in Woodbridge and brings strong organisational and administrative
skills to the team. Vicki is the main point of liaison and support for Old
Ipswichians and the OI Club, and also provides assistance to the Friends of
Ipswich School. She is responsible for organising and supporting a full and
varied schedule of OI, Friends and Development events, and runs the office’s
