The Co-Curricular Programme
At Ipswich School we place huge importance on educating the whole child.
An excellent academic education is something we expect to deliver for our pupils, but we feel that they also all deserve a broad and enriching co-curricular provision. Consequently, we have developed an exciting co-curricular programme that allows each pupil to reach their full potential no matter where their passions lie.
Whether they come to life on the stage, on the sports field, in the concert hall or in one of our many clubs or activities, we know that they will develop valuable skills which will be transferable beyond their time at school; they will learn how to communicate effectively, how to interact as part of a team and acquire organisational skills.
In addition to the co-curricular programme within school, we feel that it is important to offer our pupils a wide variety of school trips, both day and residential throughout the academic year.
Learning outside the classroom is hugely beneficial as it can enhance enthusiasm and achievement through hands-on experience. Pupils also have the opportunity to develop their self-confidence, decision-making and problem-solving on many of our residential trips.
Whether our geographers are heading out to examine coastal erosion locally or our Chapel Choir are singing in the world’s largest Anglican cathedral-church, St. John the Divine in New York, we want to provide memorable and fulfilling experiences.
