Those Common Entrance pupils wanting a Means-Tested Bursary have to sit the entrance exams in March as all awards are agreed in March.
Means-tested Busaries - financial assistance available for families who could not otherwise afford the school fees. Bursaries are reviewed on an annual basis and take into account both income and assets.
A school report is requested from a pupil's current school in February.
Offers, including the results of the scholarships and bursaries, are made in early March. The Headmaster likes to meet all pupils and parents prior to making an offer.
Common Entrance candidates who have applied for Art or Music Scholarships will be given the outcome of their scholarship application with the condition that they pass their Common Entrance exams in June.

Please note – a school report and predicted GCSE grades are requested from students’ current school at the end of November. Experience shows that success at A Level follows for those who have achieved at least A grades at GCSE in the subjects that they wish to study, or in related subjects. We do accept pupils into the Sixth Form with lower grades than this, as long as they are above an absolute minimum of six C grades, with B grades in relevant A level subjects.
Offers, including the results of the scholarships and bursaries, are made at the beginning of December 2016 and students will have until the end of January 2017 to accept the place. Offers are conditional on GCSE results and places are confirmed in August.
