Some of the very best Ipswich Prep mathematicians were invited to the Senior School for an hour of ‘crazy maths’ with
Head of Mathematics, Mr Core. Pupils were faced with several quirky mathematical conundrums that included finding the number of squares on a chessboard (no, it’s not 64!), vanishing areas in a triangle, and, using algebra to understand the famous ‘Red Elephant from Denmark’ problem.
Well done to James V, Charlotte T, Matthew M, Ayo M, Sophie K, Rebecca K, Amelia J, Samuel H and Martha C for their hard work.
