Swimming Academy
Ipswich School Swim Academy offers swimming lessons for everyone, from babies aged eight weeks through to adults. Whether your child is just starting out, building confidence in the water, or developing their stamina and technique, our lessons help swimmers build their skills while enjoying their time in the pool.
Our Lessons
We offer:
- Parent and child lessons from eight weeks to approximately 2½–3 years, following the Swim England Discovery Duckling programme
- Children’s group lessons from Reception age (four years) and Stage 1 through to Swim England Stage 7
- Adult swimming lessons
- Ladies-only adult swimming lessons
- Private lessons for swimmers who would benefit from individual tuition
Children’s group lessons are 30 minutes, while adult lessons are 45 minutes.
Small Classes, Individual Support
We keep our group sizes small, giving swimmers plenty of support and attention. Our teachers are in the water with swimmers up to Stage 4, providing hands-on support, encouragement and demonstrations as they develop their skills and confidence.

- Parent and child: maximum of 8 swimmers per class
