At Ipswich School, we are excited to welcome prospective students to our Year 7 Discovery Morning, a special event designed for pupils in Year 5 at any school who are considering joining us for Year 7 in September 2026.

This interactive and engaging morning will provide your child with an opportunity to explore our school, experience a range of exciting lessons, and get a feel for what life at Ipswich School is really like. It’s the perfect way to discover what makes our school community unique and how we support every pupil in reaching their full potential.

What to Expect:

Taster Lessons
Your child will take part in a series of taster lessons designed to give them a genuine sense of our curriculum. From science to the arts, languages to mathematics, these sessions are carefully planned to give them a flavour of the diverse and stimulating learning experience we offer. Our experienced teachers will guide the pupils through fun, hands-on activities that will showcase the variety of subjects available at Ipswich School.

Explore School Life
In addition to academic lessons, the morning will also give pupils a glimpse into the broader life at Ipswich School. Family Picnic & Informal Q&A
After the lessons, we invite families to join us for a relaxed family picnic on our beautiful grounds. This is a fantastic opportunity to chat with staff, ask any questions about our school, and find out more about the application process. Whether you want to know about our extracurricular offerings, pastoral care, or specific academic programs, our team will be on hand to provide insights and help you with any queries you may have.
