We are pleased to welcome you to Ipswich School Sixth Form. Each year between 25 and 30 students join us from other schools - both local and further afield. We have students coming from other independent schools as well as those from grammar and comprehensive schools. We think this helps to make our Sixth Form a welcoming community, where you will feel at home.
There is a newly refurbished Sixth Form Centre in a building of its own, with teaching rooms, a large computer room, group work area, a coffee bar and a lounge area, along with the offices of the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form.
You will be one of around 120 students in Year 12, with a similar number in Year 13. We feel that our Sixth Form is the ideal size and make up, and our students agree.
It is large enough for us to field several teams in all major sports and to offer a range of learning and co-curricular activities, and you will be encouraged to form your own groups and run clubs. But we are also small enough for you to be supported and cared about as an individual.
Please do get in contact with us if you have any questions.
