Your Future Begins Here

Ipswich Senior School

Where passion creates success.

At the Senior School our key aim is to encourage pupils to realise their potential.  By treating them as individuals, caring about them and kindling a real passion in their studies they will really enjoy their education here and achieve great results.

Your future begins here

A broad curriculum; an exciting co-curriculum

We offer a broad curriculum that allows pupils to study a range of subjects at GCSE, but we also appreciate the need for flexibility.

Our extensive co-curricular programme widens pupils’ experience, aids their learning and gives them a great time at school.

Pastoral

Academic success has to be underpinned by attention to the whole person and our pastoral care is strongly committed to this approach.

Lower School

The Lower School covers Years 7 and 8. Pupils are taught in form groups for most subjects apart from maths.

Middle School

The Middle School covers Years 9, 10 and 11. Pupils are placed in House-based tutor groups and are taught by subject specialists in all lessons.

Senior School Admissions

Our Senior Admissions Manager, Mrs Laura Trainer, can arrange a tour of the Senior School and a meeting with the Headmaster, Nicholas Weaver. She can guide you through the admissions process and also explain our entry requirements.

Co-Curricular Programme

Our co-curricular programme complements what happens in lessons and provides a thoroughly enjoyable break from academic work and an opportunity for pupils to express themselves in different ways.

International Admissions
