Transform a life with the gift of education
Giving to Ipswich School, whether your donation is large or small, immediate or as part of a legacy gift, makes a significant difference to the prospects of the children we support. Their future success depends upon us all working together in a collective effort to give this generation access to a first-class education and the opportunities it provides.
Regular and single donations can be set up by clicking here (you will be redirected to the Old Ipswichian website):

Other ways to donate
- Cheque: Payable to Ipswich School.
- Charities Aid Foundation: Please visit www.cafonline.org for more information.
- BSUF (For US Taxpayers): We are members of the British Schools and Universities Foundations Inc. which enables US taxpayers wishing to donate to Ipswich School to do so tax efficiently. Please visit www.bsuf.org for full details on how to give.
- Payroll Giving: Payroll Giving allows you to donate to Ipswich School before PAYE Tax which means that you don’t pay tax on your gift. If your employer offers a Payroll Giving Scheme, simply ask them to set up your regular donation to the School.
Leaving a gift in your will to Ipswich School is a very personal way of giving the gift of opportunity to future generations of pupils.
This maximises the benefits to the School and minimises the Capital Gains Tax liability to the donor. Not only are donated shares free of Capital Gains Tax but the market value can now be offset against the donor’s Income Tax liability.
For a higher rate taxpayer whose Capital Gains Tax annual exemption has already been used up for the year, the incentives are enormous, particularly if the value of the donated shares is substantially higher than at acquisition.
Transfer of Assets
Donations of Capital Assets, including shares, can be made directly to Ipswich School without the donor incurring a liability for Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax and no tax would be payable by Ipswich School if the value of the asset were subsequently realised.
If you are a UK taxpayer you can boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate, whether that’s a single or regular donation to Ipswich School. To register for Gift Aid you can print and return the form below.
Please let us know if you change your name or your home address, want to cancel your declaration, or if you no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or Capital Gains Tax.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our donors; OIs, current and former parents, companies, charitable trusts and foundations who have kindly given to the School. Every donation, no matter its size, makes a very real difference to the education of children in our region.
