With top quality teaching and learning and extensive, interesting and relevant enrichment and co-curricular programmes, we feel that Ipswich School Sixth Formers are well-placed to get into a good university and have the flexibility that will prove invaluable in the rapidly evolving world of work.
We know just how important your university applications are and we spend a great deal of time helping you to get them right. We focus on early preparation of subject choices and personal statements, and on-going support from tutors, Heads of Houses, subject specialists and a fine careers team.
We are with you throughout the entire application process, right up to the moment that results are known. Our results speak for themselves: 90% of students leaving in summer 2018 secured a place at a university of their choice and six students secured places at Oxford and Cambridge.
But we are not simply interested in helping students get to top universities. Whatever you want to do when you leave school, we put in considerable effort to make sure that you find the university place or career that is best you. And it does not end there. Through the Old Ipswichian Club we keep in touch with students for as long as they want, providing networking and social opportunities along with the chance to continue sports, often playing again at school venues.
We are keen to provide a top quality, interesting and varied Sixth Form experience that equips you with all of the key skills you need to flourish and prosper at Ipswich School and beyond, and also give you the awareness of the important part you can play in contributing to the wider community.
