The CCF Crete Adventure Training trip, held during October half term, provided 27 pupils with an exhilarating week of outdoor pursuits, cultural exploration, and camaraderie. The trip offered a diverse range of activities tailored to various interests and abilities. The pupils embarked on a series of outdoor adventures, including rock climbing, bodyboarding, snorkeling, kayaking, and raft building. These activities took place in stunning coastal locations, offering breathtaking views and challenging conditions that pushed the pupils’ limits and fostered a real sense of accomplishment.
In addition to the physical challenges, the trip provided opportunities for cultural exploration. The group visited an archaeological site, gaining insights into the rich history and ancient civilizations of Crete. They also explored a local town, immersing themselves in the vibrant culture, sampling local cuisine, and experiencing the bustling atmosphere of a traditional harbour.
The warm Cretan weather provided ideal conditions for outdoor activities and relaxation. Pupils spent time basking on beautiful beaches, swimming in the sea, and participating in various beach activities. Throughout the trip, the pupils demonstrated a very positive attitude, a willingness to try new things, and a strong team spirit. They supported each other, celebrated each other’s successes, and formed lasting bonds.
