On Sunday 8 September Ipswich School hosted the Tea Tent at Suffolk Dog Day in support of St Elizabeth Hospice. Last year the event was cancelled due to the unexpected September heat – it was far too hot for dogs to be spending prolonged time outside. So this year, with some slightly cooler weather, we were delighted that the event could go ahead for such an important cause. Mr Brace from our catering department spent time preparing an array of delicious treats that were served from the Tea Tent by staff and pupil volunteers.
In total, the Tea Tent raised £1255. Our new Head, Mr Gregory, also judged the ‘Suffolk’s Next Top Model – Male’ dog class.
We have worked with St Elizabeth Hospice for a number of years now and look forward to continuing our support in 2025. We will once again host a large sculpture at the front of school as part of the Hospice’s Wild in Art trail next summer and we will be sharing more about this in the coming months.
