This Friday 14 October is a non-uniform day for pupils, to support the charity of the term, Just One Tree. Just One Tree is a “non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation.” The organisation is based in England, but supports tree-planting schemes in places such as Brazil, Madagascar, Indonesia, Haiti and Kenya.
This Friday is Just One Tree’s non-uniform day for the environment, so we will be joining 200,000 school children across the world in this campaign. Students must bring in a £2 donation if they choose to wear their own clothes, and are encouraged to wear something green in support of the charity. The £2 donation will go towards the planting of two trees per pupil.
