Please Do Not Lick The Art!

Last week things were very sweet in the Art Department when our Academic Excellence pupils gathered together for a food-based challenge.

Looking at arrangements of cakes and biscuits and other sweet foods, we also used food as our paints and set to work with a palette of sauces. Strawberry sauce, marmite, mayonnaise, chocolate spread, mustard, beetroot juice and cream gave us a range of colours to work with and the challenge of applying with brushes or fingers.

The students produced some delicious pictures and enjoyed eating the displays afterwards too! Photographs of the food paintings will be displayed in Donachers soon.
