Recently, we had a whole school vote to see what charity we are going to support this term as a school through our links with Suffolk Community Foundation. Although there were other very worthy options, 47% of the school voted to support Survivors in Transition.
Survivors in Transition (SiT) is an amazing charity that supports victims of sexual abuse and violence. They help the victims both during their difficult times to survive and after their lives have started to
go back to normal to help them in feeling happy and motivated again. SiT is the only charity that helps people with specifically sexual abuse and violence experiences in the entirety of Suffolk. SiT provides a multitude of support including individual and group therapy sessions, activities that are mindful of people’s feeling and emotions and a confidential sexual abuse support project for people 13+ called TOPE.
So let’s see how much money we can raise, perhaps your form could organise a raffle or a bake sale or another charity event.
