Midsummer Soiree

27th July 2017 By Ipswich School in Ipswich School Music

The school’s end of year musical extravaganza – the Midsummer Soiree – took place on Sunday 2 July.

This annual open air music event on the school field was an opportunity to enjoy an evening of music from our various ensembles, orchestras and bands. With the chance to bring a picnic, or buy strawberries and cream, wine, Pimm’s and fruit juice on the day, it was the perfect way to spend a summer night.

Guests enjoyed music from the Concert Band, Intermediate Brass Ensemble,
Saxophone Ensemble, Stage Band, Big Band, Chapel Choir, Senior Brass Ensemble, Jazz-IS, Show Choir, Symphony and Intermediate Orchestras, the Intermediate String Ensemble and the Prep Chamber Choir and Super Singers.

The weather, as usual, was lovely and sunny and a great evening was had by all. You can see some images from the evening here.
