After a term of closely fought matches, the winners of the Christmas Chess Ladder were announced in December. Emil H from Year 8 triumphed in the strategy battles, followed by Henry G from Year 7 in second place and James D, also from Year 7 in third place.
The winner got a nice shiny, engraved medal and all three received a badge and some Christmas sweets from Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe. If you’d like to have a go this term, then Chess Club takes place on Tuesday lunchtimes in Room 11. Please speak to Mrs Turner for more details.
