U13 Lady Taverners Competition

On Tuesday the U13 girls’ cricket team headed off to Lords for the national indoor finals of the Lady Taverners competition. 900 schools took part in the initial stages of the competition and five schools representing their regions took part in the finals.

We played The Island Free School, Ashford School, Sedburgh School and St Helen & St Katharine School. After winning our first two matches, drawing in the third and losing the last match, we finished in third place. There were outstanding performances from all the team, lots of wickets were taken and runs scored. The highlight of the day was a tour of the Lords Cricket Ground including the Long Room, changing rooms, museum and the Journal Room. It was a great experience.

Thank you to Mr Boje and Miss Newlyn for being our coaches.
