Musicians help raise vital funds

Last Sunday, many of the school’s musicians took part in a concert at St Matthew’s Church in Ipswich in order to raise money for their ‘Top Up Shop’. This charity enables people with limited incomes to buy their weekly shop at a highly discounted price of only £2.

Organised in partnership, by former Prep teacher Mrs Gorham and Director of Music Mrs Steensma, the programme included groups such as the Senior Saxophone Ensemble, the Lower School Quartet and the Senior Clarinet Ensemble. Those who attended the concert praised their performances, saying they were perfect representatives of the school.

Both tickets sold on the door and a grand raffle afterwards enabled nearly £1,500 to be raised, all of which will help a much needed charity to stay running.
