Bike Ride Challenge

The Development Office is organising an exciting new challenge to take place this autumn – a bike ride through the battlefields of Northern France and Belgium. The ride of 300 miles is designed to take in key locations in WWI and WWII as well as some locations associated with our Old Ipswichians who fought in these conflicts. This will be an opportunity to hear their stories as well as pay our respects.

The event will take place from Wednesday 11 October to Sunday 15 October, and is planned to go from London to Newhaven, Dieppe, Arras and Ypres, finishing at the Menin Gate for the 8pm Last Post, which is carried out each evening to remember the fallen. The fundraising target for each rider is £2,20 and the proceeds from the event will help to raise funds to support bursary students at Ipswich School including our pupils who joined us in September from Ukraine.

If anyone would like to register for the ride or find out more, please contact the Development Team: development@ipswich.school
