For the first time, this year’s Art Exhibition has GCSE and A Level coursework and exam pieces on display together in Anglesea Heights.
Over 50 students have their art, textiles or photography on show, and were welcomed with their parents and staff to an opening event just before half term. Year 13 could choose from a range of themes for their A Level work, while GCSE students had the themes of “I, me, mine” and “Lock” for their coursework and exam pieces.
Mr Parkin, Director of Art, said: “It was great to see so many people at the opening event it was a really busy atmosphere. The work looks amazing and although it was a big task to organise, it’s really good having everything on show at the same time. It gives the GCSE students the chance to have a look at all the A Level art so they can get a sense of where they would be heading.”
