Digital Leaders explore BT

Last Thursday, our lovely Digital Leaders went on a trip to find out about computer science apprenticeships provided by BT. For those people who don’t know, BT is a British multinational telecommunications company which is the largest provider of fixed-line, broadband and mobile services in the UK.

In their apprenticeships, you would be doing a real role and learning new skills from day one, whilst studying for a nationally recognised qualification alongside your job. Apprenticeships are available in a wide range of roles, from customer service, to project management, and from software engineering
to cyber security. There were ten showcases for people to visit after the general talk about apprenticeships.

The most memorable and favourite parts for our digital leaders were the cybersecurity, key logger and medical technology exhibits. In medical technology, BT showed how they can monitor ambulances across the country and provide medical support from a doctor in a hospital.
