Evensong event for Chapel Choir

In the last week before the half term break, Chapel Choir took an afternoon trip to Bury St Edmunds in order to sing evensong in the stunning cathedral. After a short and slightly chilly rehearsal we met with some of the cathedral staff who took us through the pro-cessions and the procedure of the service.

After a brief biscuit break, the service started off strongly, with the choir reviving some of the songs we sang at the Chapel Choir tour in Malta in October, as well as some exciting new repertoire. The service was a great opportunity for some of the younger choir members to experience a proper evensong in a large cathedral but was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

A thank you to everyone at St Edmundsbury Cathedral for hosting us and of course to our wonderful music department and everyone who came along.
