Girls are netball champions!

Saturday 19 November saw our U14, U16 and U19 teams compete in the Suffolk County Finals held at Ipswich School Sports Centre, Rushmere.

Our U14s performed well during the day, with their play improving throughout their games. A couple of losses saw them end the day in third place and unfortunately miss out on qualification for the regional schools finals in January. We look forward to the netball term and seeing them develop and grow as a team together.

Our U19s went into the finals feeling good and played some good netball in the early rounds. However, some costly mistakes in games against Ipswich High and Finborough saw them lose out on qualification by 1 point and finish in an agonising third place. There was some excellent play and lots to work on with
some tough competition over the next few months, but this will see us fight back stronger.

Lastly our U16s went into the competition as runners up from the South Suffolk qualifiers but with a will-to-win mentality. They came out firing from the first whistle and ended the day unbeaten resulting in them becoming county champions, backing up their win last year as U14s!

Considering they are all still U15 this is a remarkable achievement and we could not be prouder. The hard work continues as we prepare for England Netball East Regional finals in January.
