Maths Success

During last half term, three of our best female mathematicians were invited to take part in the British Maths Olympiad for Girls, a testing two and a half hour long paper with a series of challenges.

The Maths department are proud to announce that our girls achieved a Merit for Ciara W and Distinctions for both Asmee M and Ananya M. In fact, Asmee was one of the top forty in the country to score full marks!

We also had good success in the Senior Maths Challenge, gaining 10 Gold, 13 Silver and 20 Bronze awards. The students who achieved Golds have automatically qualified for the Senior Kangaroo taking place in November, and we wish them well. Asmee M has also qualified for the British Maths Olympiad with her “best in school” performance – this time it’s a three and a half hour long paper! Well done to everyone who took part.
