Royal thanks received

Most of you may remember, not long ago, our school thoughtfully designed and created a spectacular book for King Charles III, in honour of his coronation on May 6 this year. This wonderful piece not only consisted of the signatures of every student and member of staff, but was also made out of eco friendly materials, with pages made out of eco friendly mulch and a hand made cover printed with beautiful foliage from our own school grounds.

We are pleased to say that this week we received a thank you card from His Majesty the King and Queen Camilla, saying: “We are enormously grateful to everyone who took part in the celebrations, and particularly appreciate that you so generously took the time to write to us on this very special occasion.” The letter from the Head of Royal Correspondence which accompanied the card said: “The King was deeply touched that you should have taken the trouble to write, and would have me convey his warmest good wishes to all of the students and staff at Ipswich School.”

We are honoured to have received this acknowledgement from Their Majesties. Many thanks to everyone involved in creating the beautiful book.
